Bobby começava suas aventuras apresentando o desenho ao lado do comediante Howie Mandel, numa mistura da imagem real de Mandel contracenando com personagem em animação de Bobby. Ambos discutiam o tema do dia, até que começava o desenho e Mandel se tornava Howie Generic, o pai de Bobby, já em versão desenho animado.
